Supplies direct supervision for the professional, skilled, safe, proper collection of samples from patients – age newborn and older. Responsible for management of all paperwork associated to collection and resulting and subsequent communication between the Laboratory, ancillary and off campus sites, both verbal and hardcopy files. Handles all aspects of Support Providers consisting of but not limited to client registration, specimen collections, staffing, CAP/Joint Commission/CMS compliance, Policies and Procedures advancement and implementation, and result reporting. Preserves an expert, cooperative interaction with laboratory Director and all medical facility departments, medical staff, and the public in keeping with the objective and approach of Manatee Memorial Health Center. Works with the Manatee Healthcare System Phlebotomy Institute Coordinator to assure smooth program operation when functional. Trains, in-services, proficiencies all staff. Interacts well with staff through month-to-month conferences. Demonstrates Service Quality at all times. Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Medical Lab Professional (ASCP) or Phlebotomist with National Phlebotomy Certification, ASCP, AMT or PBT. Prefer accreditation for at least 3 years, obligatory one year.
Experience in a Leadership role required.
Experience in Phlebotomy for at least 3 years
Exceptional social skills & Excellent Customer support abilities
Bachelors or Associate Degree is minimally needed.
