Volunteers are rolling up their sleeves to assist stimulate the professions of Tri-State teens. Woodward Career Technical High School is playing host to the 6th yearly “Sticks for Kicks” today. The occasion assists high schoolers practice their phlebotomy abilities. The 15 trainees need to finish 30 effective blood draws prior to taking the licensed nationwide phlebotomy test in April. One trainee states it is the perfect next action for her after high school. “I entered into this program since it offers me a much better chance when I leave school and prior to I go to college. I might make some cash and develop a great structure for myself.” If the trainees pass the accreditation test, organizers state it is an excellent method to get their foot in the door for high-demand tasks drawing blood in healthcare facilities, centers, nursing houses, or blood banks.
