ABOUT United States
Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center (MVRBC) is the unique company of blood product or services to 94 medical facilities in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri and Wisconsin. The Blood Center is based in Davenport, Iowa, where MVRBC’s screening, processing and main warehouse manages more than 250,000 systems of blood parts each year. MVRBC is a not-for-profit 501( c)( 3) company.
Developed in 1971 and based in Springfield, Illinois, Central Illinois Neighborhood Blood Center (CICBC), a not-for-profit company, combined with MVRBC in2010 CICBC continues to serve the main Illinois neighborhood.
Neighborhood Blood Solutions of Illinois (CBSI) was arranged in 1972 to provide life-saving blood required by seriously ill and hurt individuals. In 2011, CBSI combined with MVRBC. CBSI now forms the Eastern Department of MVRBC and continues to provide all willingly contributed blood utilized by clients at the neighborhood medical facilities in Champaign-Urbana, Charleston-Mattoon, Danville and Effingham, Illinois.
