In forty years of medical care, I u2019 ve just struck a blood vessel once. When you provide jabs, you draw back on the plunger to make certain you do NOT offer it in a capillary. Blood will drift into the syringe. You pull it out. Redo everything (get a new syringe and medication) for the other arm. No big deal.
