Beach High School Medial and Allied Health Professions Program provides an exciting curriculum where trainees learn more about and prepare for Medical Health Professions. Trainees will have the chance to learn medical terms, the basics of health care, client care basics, actions to emergency situations, and far more! With a research-based and hands-on curriculum, students are engaged every action of the way. Trainees will be exposed to guest speakers, expedition, and community service as part of the program, providing trainees the ability to interact first-hand with regional experts. Qualified students who reveal proficiency of their skills will have the chance to work in an onsite public medical center sponsored by St. Joseph’s/ Candler Health center. In this diagnostic clinic, students will work carefully with an onsite nurse professional to serve the neighborhood. Students will arrange appointments and receive clients; conduct patient interviews; acquire biometrics, essential signs and lab work; then inform patients on their danger elements and laboratory results. Trainees finishing the clinical rotation and all other essential criteria can end up being a Qualified Patient Care Specialist
( PCT) or a Phlebotomist, either of which might result in jobs after graduation.
