A new report discovers that life span in U.S. dropped a shocking one year throughout the first half of 2020 as the coronavirus pandemic triggered its very first wave of deaths. Minorities suffered the most significant effect. (Feb 18).
Daily deaths from the infection are now approximately twice that, and now almost 500,000 have died, many of them alone in hospital beds following anguished, labored phone calls to household members.
Ten months after her father’s death, Reinhard and her household in Rochester, New York, are still having a hard time with their loss– and the loss of the neighborhood she when thought she might count on.
