This video shows how to properly apply a tourniquet to a patient’s arm for venipuncture. A tourniquet would first be applied to examine the arm for a wanted vein.
Please note, I am wearing my clean lab coat. Never use the laboratory coat that is utilized to process specimens in the lab when strolling outside the lab. This is an infection control safety measure.
