Training consists of lecture, lab practice, and hands-on client care in area centers. Graduates of this program are eligible to sit for the American Medical Technologists (AMT) nationwide accreditation examination. Phlebotomists, also called Phlebotomy Technicians, acquire blood specimens from patients’ arteries or veins in a variety of medical settings, consisting of medical facilities, clinics, mobile laboratories and doctor’s workplaces.
