Micah is 6 years old and he does not shed a tear!
We had the very best phlebotomist. She was so patient with Micah, did such a terrific job of discussing every step and made him feel calm and unwinded while she drew his blood. For those who are asking. Micah was gettin his blood drawn to evaluate for celiac illness. Returned negative. His papa is a nurse and so all of our kids have been interested with anything medical, and he’s done a good task at making our kids comfortable with going to the physician and assisting them understand why its essential. Also, I was recording this with authorization from the phlebotomist to reveal his daddy and our family how brave he was. Micah particularly wished to be able to show his older brother or sisters too. If you desire a pointer for assisting your kid to be more comfortable with getting a shot or their blood drawn, make certain to describe the WHY behind it.
